Niagara Falls, NY (WBEN) The man who is spending 40 years to life behind bars for the murders of two women now faces a third murder charge, this one out of Niagara County.

Niagara County District Attorney Brian Seaman says Richard Fox has been charged with second degree murder in the death of 32 year old Crystal Curthoys.

Niagara Falls Police opened an investigation into Fox after he was charged with two murders in Erie County. The investigation led to the discovery this past March of human remains in a house where Fox had formerly lived in Niagara Falls. Those remains have been identified as belonging to Crystal Curthoys through dental records.

Fox was sentenced to 40 years to life after pleading guilty to killing Cassandra Watson and Marquita Mull in a nearly 20 year span.
