North Collins, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 24-year-old man from the Town of Greece near Rochester has been arrested after an investigation found he sexually assaulted two minors in the Town of Concord.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office says Ahmed Yaqoob traveled from Greece to North Collins and picked up a 12- and 14-year-old girl. Officials say the assaults happened in a remote area in Concord.
U.S. Marshals arrested Yaqoob on Friday, where he has been charged with predatory sexual assault against a child under 13, and first and second degree rape, all of which are felonies.
New York State Police, FBI Buffalo and Albany, and the New York State Intelligence Center all participated in the investigation.
