Among those who marched in the parade was Mayor Byron Brown, who noted, "This is probably one of the biggest Juneteenth parades in many years, and the second Juneteenth parade after May 14th, 2022."

Brown said the first Juneteenth following May 14th was a somber commemoration. "This is going to be a more celebratory festival," he said. Brown added the festivities celebrate the African American culture as well as the unity within the community.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul was also in attendance for the parade.
