Cheektowaga man pleads guilty in son's death

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Cheektowaga man faces 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the death of his toddler son.

31-year-old Jahmil Paisley admitted Wednesday to recklessly causing the death of his son, Logan, inside his Slate Creek Drive apartment in October 2024.

Police and paramedics responded to the apartment after receiving a 9-1-1 call for an unresponsive child. The 21-month-old was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, where he was pronounced dead.

Sentencing will be on Jan. 23. Paisley is being held without bail.
