Cambria, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 60-year-old motorcyclist had to be taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight Sunday afternoon after a head-on collision with an SUV.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a deputy arrived at the scene on Campbell Blvd. around 4:55 p.m. to find the motorcyclist lying in the middle of the street after being thrown off his bike. First responders immediately began giving medical aid.

The motorcyclist was believed to be traveling south on the two-lane road when he veered to the opposite lane, striking an SUV head-on. A 38-year-old woman driving the SUV was taken to ECMC with minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation. According to NITTEC the scene wasn't clear until 9:23 p.m. It happened just three days after another serious wrong-way crash involving a motorcycle in Niagara County.
