Grand Island, NY (WBEN) State Police say a road rage incident Tuesday morning on Grand Island led to the discovery of ghost guns. A Grand Island man now faces numerous weapons charges.

State Police say they responded to the incident on the 190 Tuesday morning and learned 43 year old Victor Freeman displayed a firearm to the victim.

Troopers say the Bureau of Criminal Investigation applied and received a Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order (TERPO) and located additional assault rifles, shotgun, ghost gun kits and high-capacity ammunition magazines at his residence.

Freeman was arrested and arraigned at the town of Grand Island Court and has been remanded to the Erie County Holding Center on $25,000 bail.
He faces a long list of charges: Menacing 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree. On May 18, 2022, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Freeman with additional charges after a search of his residence for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, assault rifles (2 counts), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, high-capacity magazine (9 counts) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, degree, defaced weapon.
