Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The SAG-AFTRA strike will affect this year's Buffalo Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame ceremony. Christine Baranski will defer her induction until next year in case the strike is settled and she must film in Europe.

The BBA says the Cheektowaga native, who is being inducted in the Arts In Broadcasting category, will be unable to attend the September 21st ceremony.

Baranski was scheduled to shoot a movie in Europe, but the strike has delayed production. If the strike is settled by mid-September, she must be on location immediately for filming.

"We agreed with Christine that the uncertainty of her being able to attend wouldn't be fair to those who would purchase tickets to see her induction," said Steve Monaco, President of the Buffalo Broadcasters Association. "So, we're postponing her induction until 2024."

Baranski promises to attend next year's event to receive her honor, "I regret not being able to visit my hometown and look forward to cheering for the Bills this season!"

The Buffalo Broadcasters Association will be notifying all ticket buyers about this situation. Anyone who purchased tickets for the event to see Christine Baranski can get a full refund.

The ceremony itself will go on at Samuel's Grand Manor, and the inductees include Kiss 98.5's Janet Snyder and WBEN's Tim Wenger.
