Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - Get ready, Buffalo Bills fans. If you're going to Sunday's regular season finale against the New York Jets, there will be a lot to take in for the farewell celebration at Highmark Stadium.
Sunday is most likely the "Last Call" for the iconic stadium, known as Rich Stadium (1973-1998), Ralph Wilson Stadium (1999-2015), New Era Field (2016-2019), Bills Stadium (2020), and Highmark Stadium (2021-present).
"We'll be giving away a special commemorative coin to every fan attending the game," said Chris Jenkins, Vice President of Marketing for the Buffalo Bills.
It's reminiscent of the commemorative coin giveaway at the stadium back in 1973.
"We're also giving away a rally towel that will replicate what the ticket looks like," he added.
Fans will be able to write in their seat, row and section location to always remember where they were to watch the final regular season game at Highmark Stadium.
There will also be a commemorative beer available at concession stands - Bud Light "Blizzard Brew", that was made with snow from Highmark Stadium.
In addition, the game will mark the return of the red helmets for the Bills. It's the first time the Bills will wear red helmets since 2010. The team will also wear a farewell season patch on their jerseys.
Steve Tasker and Thurman Thomas will serve as the "Legends of the Game."
At halftime, there will be a farewell video, live alumni goodbye from many other Bills legends, and pyrotechnics from the new stadium across the street.
