Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Buffalo Broadcasters Association Tuesday announced its next class to be inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

The class of 2022 includes longtime WBEN News Anchor and 'A New Morning' cohost Susan Rose.


Rose has co-anchored WBEN's top-rated morning news program for more than 20 years and is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo State.

Susan started her career at Lockport's WLVL as afternoon news anchor and as evening air talent and then joined WBEN in 1985, working both behind the scenes and in news. A year later, Susan was delivering WBEN Traffic Copter reports and anchoring the station's evening newscasts. She then moved into the anchor position on Buffalo's Evening News, WBEN'S afternoon drivetime news program.

In 2001, WBEN shifted to an all-news morning show, Susan joined veteran Buffalo newsman John Zach to co-anchor the morning program, which she continues today alongside anchor Brian Mazurowski.

Susan is the recipient of numerous awards from the AP Broadcasters, as well as several coveted Edward R. Murrow awards.

In addition to Rose, a full class of broadcasters will be inducted during ceremonies September 22. Following is the complete list of inductees:

-Retired WKBW-TV reporter/photographer Ed Reilly
-WBEN-AM 'A New Morning' co-anchor Susan Rose
-WUFO-AM president/CEO Sheila Brown
-Longtime Niagara Falls radio personality Tom Darro
-Former broadcast engineer Jackie Albarella
-Former WIVB-TV anchor/reporter Allen Costantini
-WECK-AM president/CEO Buddy Shula
-Former WIVB-TV photographer Tom Vetter
-The legendary TV icon and Jamestown native Lucille Ball will also be inducted for the many innovations she brought to television broadcasting.
