Suspect in Allentown shooting arraigned

Evans charged with wounding two during a workplace argument

Tysheim Evans

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The man suspected of wounding two during a workplace argument at Allen Burger Venture Sunday was arraigned on charges. Tysheim Evans faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Evans is accused of firing an illegal handgun behind the Allentown restaurant. One victim was hit in the leg and the other victim was hit in the arm. Both victims were taken to ECMC to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Evans is scheduled to return on Friday at 3:30 p.m. for a felony hearing. He was held without bail.

Prosecutors say Evans was out on bail in a separate pending criminal matter for allegedly possessing an illegal handgun. In that case, prosecutors say Buffalo Police officers responded to the area of Wohlers Avenue and East Ferry Street for a report of shots fired from a vehicle last July. The officers allegedly observed Evans nearby on Celtic Street in a vehicle matching the description provided by the 911 caller. When the officers approached, prosecutors say Evans ran, but was quickly apprehended. Police say they found an illegal, loaded handgun in a bag inside the vehicle.
