Wheatfield, N.Y. (WBEN) - Three teens, two aged 16 and one 14, led police and Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on a pursuit through Niagara County in a stolen vehicle early Wednesday morning.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle, a grey Kia Forte, had been reported stolen in Niagara Falls. Teens in face masks had also been seen trying to steal other vehicles.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a deputy pulled the vehicle over at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Nash Road at 12:07 a.m. Wednesday before the 16-year-old driver sped away.
A pursuit began, weaving through the Town of Wheatfield, City of North Tonawanda, and into the City of Niagara Falls.
After crashing into a parked car at 22nd Street and Ferry Avenue, the teens got out and fled on foot. They were all eventually caught.
All three - a 16-year-old female driver, 16-year-old male passenger and 14-year-old male passenger - have been charged with third degree criminal possession of stolen property, second degree obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. The driver is also charged with third degree auto stripping, third degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation and several other violations.
All three were released on appearance tickets due to their age.
