Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Local Wegmans shoppers were stunned to find many produce displays empty Monday.
Signs at area stores say it will be that way until mid-week.
The signs read:
"Due to circumstances at our warehouse, product availability will be limited until mid-week. We apologize for any inconvenience."
The shortage is due to a fatal shooting Saturday at a Wegman’s warehouse in Gates, a suburb of Rochester.
Gates Police confirm that an employee at Wegmans is in custody related to the deadly shooting at the Wegmans warehouse.
