What to know about traffic heading to today's practice

Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) As the Bills host an open practice Tuesday morning, southtowns commuters will find an extra challenge getting to the stadium, the Erie County Fair or their jobs.

Here is the list of road closures from the Erie County Sheriff's Office:

ABBOTT ROAD• Abbott Road immediately adjacent to the stadium closes to north and southbound traffic at 4:30a.m.• This section of Abbott Road will remain closed until approximately 12:30 p.m.

BIG TREE ROAD• Prior to the conclusion of the game (approximately 10 a.m.)o Big Tree Road from Fieldhouse Drive to Rte. 219 will convert to two-lane, one-way traffic traveling eastbound away from the stadium.

Big Tree Road from Abbott Road to Southwestern Boulevard will convert to two-lane,one-way traffic traveling westbound away from the stadium.

STADIUM LOTS• All stadium lots open at 5:30 a.m.• Accessible parking lots Blue ADA and White ADA are available on a first-come, first-served basis.These lots are in the same locations as 2025, but they have been renamed. The Blue ADA Lot can only be accessed from Fieldhouse Drive via Big Tree Road. The White ADA Lot can only beaccessed from Orange Drive via Southwestern Boulevard.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION• Intoxicated and unmanageable guests will NOT be permitted entry into the stadium.• Security gates will open at 6:30 a.m.• Ticket entries open at 6:30 a.m.• The Rideshare Lot is on the west side of the former ECC campus. Fans utilizing ridesharing services after practice should expect long delays.

If you're heading to the fair, Lt. Jeremy Lehning says avoid the stadium. ",You definitely want to exit the the 219 or the 90 prior to any area around the stadium, so if you take the 219, definitely do not exit at Mile Strip north or south, and don't exit at Route 20A," says Lehining. He recommends if you're coming from the north, instead of accessing the fairgrounds via the 90 and the 219, take the Skyway down through Lackawanna to Camp Road in Hamburg, and then take Camp Road into Hamburg..

If you work near the stadium, Lehning has this advice. "Just take that into consideration and make sure you plan accordingly because traffic will will definitely definitely be at a higher higher volume during that time frame," says Lehining.
