Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) - Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) Police arrested a Wyoming man early Monday after he allegedly took an unattended Prime Flight cart on a joyride through the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The incident, which occurred just before 1 a.m., was recorded by another passenger and quickly went viral online.
According to police, 29-year-old Kevin Sinning drove the cart down the airport’s moving walkway, damaging glass panels and the vehicle itself. The estimated cost of the damage exceeds $3,000.
Officers apprehended Sinning at the end of the walkway, and reported that he appeared visibly intoxicated.
Sinning has been charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal nuisance, and grand larceny.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
