YMCA Turkey Trotters are celebrating a big Thanksgiving morning finish to the annual running race down Delaware Avenue in Buffalo.
The overall winners of the 128th running of the Turkey Trot are: Michael Brannigan of Long Island, top male finisher at 24:59. The top female finisher was Elle Orie or Orchard Park at 27:23.

The annual 8k running race began in front of the Delaware branch of the YMCA and proceeded down Delaware Avenue to finish in front of the Buffalo Convention Center, where a celebration followed the running.
Proceeds from the race are used to provide financial assistance to children and families in Western New York who otherwise are unable to participate in YMCA programs and services. Last year, the YMCA allocated more than $1.1 million to provide equitable access for child care, youth development, and healthy living programs to 4,500 local families. Money raised by the YMCA also goes towards community outreach programs and funds vital services and programs aimed towards youth development and healthy living.
