A man in Idaho has been charged after it was discovered he was making phone calls to former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, threatening to kill the GOP nominee, court documents show.

The charges, first reported by Forbes, were filed against 64-year-old Warren Jones Crazybull of Sandpoint, who made at least nine threatening phone calls to Trump’s home on July 31, according to an affidavit and criminal complaint.

The documents state that Mar-a-Lago security received a phone call from Crazybull in which he made several statements, including threats against Trump’s life.

“Find Trump…I am coming down to Bedminster tomorrow. I am going to down him personally and kill him,” the court filings allege Crazybull said.

Bedminster was in reference to the city in New Jersey where Trump’s Trump National Golf Club is located.

The Secret Service was notified of the call and eight others from the same number by Mar-a-Lago security, the documents said.

Crazybull was arrested on Aug. 1 and indicted on Aug. 20 in federal court in Idaho. He has entered a not-guilty plea to one count of making threats against a former president.

His trial is currently scheduled to take place on Oct. 28.

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung offered a comment on the charges and news of Crazybull’s pending trial, saying that Democratic nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris was to blame.

“Kamala Harris and liberal Democrats are the ones who are deranged,” Cheung said in a statement Monday. “There have been two heinous assassination attempts on President Trump, and their violent rhetoric are directly to blame.”

Cheung went on to say that Democrats and Harris owe Trump an apology for the threats against his life, which have included two attempted assassinations.

“If the Democrats and Kamala Harris do not come out and apologize for their hateful rhetoric and tone down their attacks that have stoked the flames of violence, they are explicitly advocating for and inciting more bloodshed against President Trump,” Cheung said.

Harris has not commented on the latest news but has condemned the political violence against Trump. She was also praised by the former president for calling him and being “nice” after the latest assassination attempt.

“As we gather the facts, I will be clear: I condemn political violence. We all must do our part to ensure that this incident does not lead to more violence,” she said after the latest attempt on Trump’s life. “I am thankful that former President Trump is safe.”

The Secret Service shared on Monday that Trump’s security detail would be increased following “recent events.”
