In a virtual call with reporters, Cuomo attorney Rita Glavin said Cuomo “feels strongly there was misconduct in the manner” of James’ civil investigation, which led to a report finding he sexually harassed 11 women, allegations he has denied.

“The governor is going to personally make a complaint,” Glavin said during the call.

Glavin alleged James' office "selectively" redacted information in the sexual harassment report and included "materially misleading information."

Cuomo's lawyer also highlighted “evidence of witness tampering and contradictory testimony" that came out during the investigation and that the attorney general had an obligation to follow up on the evidence but failed to do so.

Glavin also stated that she is considering having "relevant district attorneys" investigate the allegations of witness tampering, involving at least one Cuomo accuser.

Meanwhile, she said Cuomo isn't going to “move on" and plans to speak out "relatively soon."

“He will not let this go,” Glavin said. “It is insulting to tell someone who has been wrongly accused and treated unfairly, ‘just move on.’ He’s not going to move on, because truth is important.”

Rich Azzopardi, Cuomo's spokesman, doubled down on the alleged wrongdoings made by James and her office.

"The fact is that we’ve uncovered clear instances of blackmail, perjury, witness intimidation and suppression of testimony and evidence that undercut the AG’s conclusions," he said in a statement.

News of Cuomo's complaint comes less than two weeks after Oswego County District Attorney Gregory Oakes became the latest prosecutor to say they wouldn’t pursue a criminal case over sexual misconduct allegations against Cuomo, who resigned last August.

District attorneys for Manhattan, Albany, Nassau County and Westchester County had already said they wouldn’t charge the former governor.

The only criminal charge filed against Cuomo was dismissed by a judge in Albany at the local prosecutors’ request. That case involved an allegation that he groped an aide in the executive mansion in 2020 and was seen as the most serious legal threat facing Cuomo.

Azzopardi signaled this fact adding, "There’s a reason five DAs looked at this report and 11 cases suddenly became zero."

He continued, "There needs to be an examination of what happened here concerning Tish James, Joon Kim, Anne Clark and anyone else involved in this clear prosecutorial misconduct."

In response to the allegations levied against the AG's office, a spokesperson told CBS News that Cuomo is "hiding behind his campaign lawyer and falsely crying 'witch hunt.'"
