Springville man charged with manslaughter

SPRINGVILLE (WBEN) - Erie County District Attorney John Flynn announces that 22-year-old Tyler Rehrauer of Springville was arraigned this morning in Buffalo City Court on one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree - a Class B felony.

It's alleged that in the early morning hours of Monday, December 7, 2020, the defendant and the victim, 43-year-old Patrick Flynn, were involved in a physical altercation outside the defendant’s home on Greenwood Place Springville. Flynn was critically injured in the assault, and he later died at ECMC. His cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head.

Rehrauer is scheduled to return on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. for a felony hearing. He was remanded without bail.

If convicted on all charges, Rehrauer faces up to 25 years in prison.
