Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Following a frosty start Friday, weekend temperatures will begin to warm somewhat beginning Friday afternoon and into Saturday and Sunday.
Expect low to mid 60's Friday afternoon and into the weekend.
Frost advisories and freeze warnings were in place into Friday morning, with overnight lows dipping into the low 30's in spots.
"Farther inland, we've got some temperatures in the 20's across the southern tier," National Weather Service meteorologist Aaron Reynolds told WBEN of the early Friday chill.
The frosty Thursday into Friday was the coldest night in the immediate forecast, Reynolds notes. "As we go into the weekend, we're going to modify a little bit and warm up."
Two separate storm systems on the move will impact the weekend weather for the Buffalo-Niagara region, bringing chances of showers for each of the weekend days.
The weekend will not be a washout by any stretch, just somewhat unsettled with the shower chances at times.
The coming week looks promising, Reynolds says.
"We look like we have a couple of days there where we're going to be dry, and pretty pleasant. Seasonable temperatures in the 60's,"
