Gusty winds, some snow, but 60's on the way!

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN/AP) — A wintry weather system has delivered a dusting of snow across parts of Western New York and the same system is responsible for strong winds gusting to 50 mph at times.

Again today, a wind advisory and lakeshore flood advisory are posted as strong winds will again cross the region.

While Monday and Tuesday will remind us all of what's to come, beginning Wednesday temperatures will moderate and top off in the 60's.

Across parts of central and northern New York, heavier snow accumulations from the system are forecast with 3 to 7 inches of snow possible, enhanced by lake effect in spots.

The National Weather Service has issued winter storm watches and advisories for other areas around the state. In the Tug Hill area east of Lake Ontario, a winter storm watch is in effect Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning with snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches possible.

In eastern New York, including the Hudson Valley and Catskills, the weather service has posted a high wind advisory for Monday with northwest winds gusting up to 50 mph.
