Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - While the weather got worse as the day progressed Saturday, this Mother's Day, the weather should improve as the day wears on.
"They're going to actually be weakening and diminishing throughout the day," National Weather Service meteorologist Heather Kenyon tells WBEN early Sunday morning. "We might see some sunshine by this afternoon."

While noticeably warmer weather will move in for Monday, it will also once again become unsettled with increasingly widespread showers and thunderstorms that will persist into Tuesday.
"We do have some light rain showers moving into the Niagara Frontier late tonight, mainly Monday morning, then more showers Monday into Tuesday," Kenyon says.
Some good news, however, as the work week progresses, Kenyon tells us. "We do look like we dry out midweek and into late in the week."
