Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Someone just said to me this week that, 'life is all about timing'. And, if you're on vacation this week in Buffalo and Western New York, your timing is just right!
As we approach mid-April, a forecast with consecutive days of sun and highs in the 60's and even 70's is not to be counted on, but certainly to be enjoyed.
"This is the week many have been waiting for," say the forecasters at the National Weather Service in Buffalo. "Temperatures will be above normal, with the warmest weather Thu - Sat. Mainly rain-free through Friday, with a few showers possible during the weekend. Gusty southwest winds at times, with cooler conditions downwind near the lakeshore."
When will things change?
"The warm and dry stretch looks to come to an end over the weekend as more unsettled weather returns to the forecast," forecasters say. Showers are a possiblity beginning later Saturday with a higher probability later in the weekend. "In general, expect increasing chances for showers through the day Sunday as a cold front approaches the Lower Lakes, with potential wrap-around precipitation maintaining shower chances through Monday."
So, like the song says, 'Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!'
