Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - "We have a definite change in our weather pattern this week," National Weather Service meteorologist Tony Ansuini tells WBEN. "It'll be a trend toward cooler and wetter conditions."
Showers Monday will continue across the area as a cold front tracks east and tapers off late in the morning and early afternoon,
After a brief break, showers will then return starting Tuesday afternoon and continue through the remainder of the week as lake enhanced rain.
"We're going to see rain pretty much every day this week," Ansuini notes. "And maybe even carry that into the weekend."
Cooler temperatures and periods of breezy winds can also be expected through the week.
"Tuesday will probably be our warmest day of the week," Ansuini says. "Probably see 60s Tuesday, but overall the entire week should be pretty much not getting out of the 50s." And some higher terrain areas will be in the 40s at times.
There has been no 'killing frost' yet this season, with the coldest temp recorded thus far locally at 33 degrees.
"It is a little bit unusual that we haven't seen temperatures that cold as of yet."
