NAPLES, Fla. (WCBS 880) -- Iconic New York sports broadcaster Warner Wolf is facing criminal mischief charges in Florida for allegedly defacing a sign in his gated community.
Wolf lives in a gated community in Naples, Florida that's called Classic Plantation Estates.
He had reportedly lobbied to have the word "plantation" removed from the community's main sign because he found it offensive.
When no action was taken, TMZ reports he took matters into his own hands and removed it himself.
There's reportedly video of the November incident.
The 81-year-old was released on $5,000 bond.
Wolf is known for his catchphrase "Let's go to the videotape!" He worked for WABC-TV and WCBS-TV in New York City and on "Imus in the Morning."
