Boy, 15, charged with murder for fatally shooting man in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD on Wednesday arrested a 15-year-old boy in the fatal shooting of a man outside a Bedford-Stuyvesant home.

The teen was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the shooting.

Just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to an assault in progress at 751 Monroe St., where officers discovered a 54-year-old Darryl McMillan of Queens with a gunshot wound to the chest.

EMS transported McMillan to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in critical condition. He died a short time later.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
