NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – More human remains were discovered in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Tuesday night, police said, just a day after skeletal remains were uncovered there on Monday.
The latest remains—which appear to be a thigh bone—were found overnight on the Dumbo waterfront, near Jane's Carousel, by someone who called 911, according to police.
Around 9 a.m. Monday, a member of the Parks Department discovered bones—a skull and shinbone wrapped in clothing and boots—at 55 Water St. and called 911, according to the NYPD.
The medical examiner has been working to identify the remains and determine if they're from the same person.
Monday’s discovery came a day after a dead man, believed to be in his 30s, was found floating off Red Hook on Sunday afternoon, though police haven’t indicated there’s any connection between that body and the remains found in Dumbo.
