NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Skeletal remains were found near the Brooklyn Bridge on Monday morning, police said, just a day after a body was discovered floating off Red Hook.
A member of the Parks Department discovered the bones at 55 Water St. in Dumbo shortly before 9 a.m., according to police.
NYPD officers were later seen investigating inside Brooklyn Bridge Park, along the waterfront near Jane’s Carousel.
The medical examiner will work to identify the remains and confirm that they're human.
The disturbing discovery came a day after a dead man, believed to be in his 30s, was found floating off Red Hook on Sunday afternoon.
