NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The Mets-Cardinals matchup scheduled for Tuesday night has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The St. Louis Cardinals announced Tuesday's game against the New York Mets at Busch Stadium would be made up on Wednesday, May 5.
The game will be made up as the first game of a single-admission doubleheader Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. ET.
The second game of the doubleheader will start shortly after the end of the first game.
Both games will be seven innings.
Tickets for Tuesday’s game will not be valid for Wednesday’s doubleheader.
Fans who purchased tickets directly from the Cardinals for Tuesday's game will receive a credit that the original purchaser may use during the 2021 regular season, according to the St. Louis Cardinals.
The rain-out marks the most-recent delay for the Mets, who have had multiple games during the season postponed due to COVID cases, heavy rain and snow.
