There's been an arrest in the shooting death of a woman and her daughter late Saturday night in Minneapolis, and police are asking for help finding who's responsible.

A 46-year-old Richie Vessel was arrested Monday.

Last Saturday night, police were called at 10:30 p.m. to the Holmes Village apartment complex on the 300 block of 2nd Avenue SE, not far from St. Anthony Main.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner reports 67-year-old Eileen Mark was fatally shot in the chest, while her 42-year-old daughter Jennifer Angerhofer suffered gunshot wounds to her head and neck.

Angerhofer is from Coon Rapids and was visiting her mother at the time the two women were killed.

"This was not an altercation between the two individuals," said the MPD's John Elder. "In fact, there was a suspect that was on scene that fled prior to officers' arrival."

Holmes Village is a complex for the elderly and people with disabilities.

Police are looking at surveillance video from the apartment complex.

A motive is not revealed.

Minneapolis police say this is still an active investigation, and that a charging decision will be made by noon Wednesday.
