Authorities are looking into the death of a man whose body was found following a fire early Friday morning in a northeast Minneapolis home.
Crews were called to put out a blaze in the basement of a building in the 18-hundred block of Central Avenue Northeast overnight.
The discovery came after the flames were extinguished.
"Investigators showed up on the scene, determined that the death is suspicious, so homicide investigators came out," said the MPD's John Elder
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the man's identity.
