Thursday is the day the hands-free phone law goes into effect and law enforcement officers across the state are already finding some folks didn't get the memo.

The Eagan Police Department shared a traffic stop in which an officer pulled over a driver who was allegedly texting, which is already illegal, by the way. According to audio from the encounter the officer also saw them raise the phone to their ear, which is now against the law.

Another driver was apparently in violation earlier this morning and received a warning and "education." They also shared this link to avoid a ticket.
