Minnesota is bracing for yet another major snow system this weekend.

The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Storm Warning from noon Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday.

Our Mike Lynch forecasts eight to 12 inches in the metro area with snowfall rates Saturday night of two inches an hour at times.

"And along with that, the winds are going to be cranking up, especially late Saturday afternoon, Saturday night into Saturday morning up to 40 miles per hour and that's going to cause some blowing and drifting," Lynch said.

Confidence remains high that a winter storm will cause significant travel impacts across the Upper Midwest this weekend. Heavy snow for central and western MN, rain possible further south and southeast. #mnwx #wiwx pic.twitter.com/XN0nYJ3M0y
