What's Cookin' with the Minnesota Timberwolves?

The Minnesota Timberwolves are offering a new perk for fans who use their mobile app throughout the 2019-20 season. If you pay electronically at concessions, you’re going to receive 10 percent off your purchase, for all 41 regular season home games.
After News Talk 830 WCCO sat down for a taste test of the new entrees that will be available during games at the Target Center, you’re going to need that 10 percent.
Levy Restaurants and Chef David Fhima have prepared a menu primed to be unlike anything in any arena or sports venue across the country.
As Chef Fhima put it, they’re taking the bad connotations out of concessions.
Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich made with Nashville hot sauce, homemade breading and topped with butter pickles.
Totchos are exactly what they sound like, tater tot nachos, with smoked brisket, quest blanco and Arkansas BBQ sauce. The brisket is smoked fresh for 14 hours before serving.
Korean BBQ Philly Cheese with quest blanco, Gochijang aioli and Bulgogi bbq sauce.
LifeCafe has a stand at Target Center this season, right outside of section 111, pick up a ‘Beyond Brat’ or burger, a 100% vegan option that still allows for that stadium vibe.
Every game this season will feature a ‘test kitchen’ where Chef Fhima will whip up a limited quantity specialty dish, available to fans. At today’s testing the entree was braised short ribs in a bed of sweet potato topped with, wait for it, cotton candy. Delicious.

The menu won’t duplicate, some nights creating meals to honor and raise awareness for a specific cause, or pay homage to certain heritages and show respect through his culinary creations.
The $5 Kids Menu is back for the 2019-20 season, except it’s not just on Sunday’s. Now, for all 41 regular season home games, children can chow down off of the special $5 menu!
Chef Fhima stopped by the News Talk 830 WCCO Studios with a sampling of the new foods.
