According to the USA Today's Bob Nightengale, Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario has cleared waivers and is now a free agent.

Rosario could still find a home with the Twins after they put him on waivers, but the likely outcome is that they do not offer him a contract before Wednesday's 7pm tender deadline. Rosario was estimated to make $9.6 million in 2021 after arbitration.

Rosario has played all six of his major league seasons with the Twins. He is a career .277 hitter with 119 home runs and 388 RBIs.

The Twins are likely to replace Rosario in the lineup with prospect Alex Kirilloff. The slugger was rated as the Twins number one prospect by CBS Sports.
