The Houston Texans have agreed with four-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Danielle Hunter on a $49 million, two-year contract. Those deals can officially be signed on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, Hunter is getting $48 million guaranteed.

Hunter had a career-best 16 1/2 sacks last season for the Minnesota Vikings. He’s reached double digits in sacks five times in eight years.

Hunter replaces Jonathan Greenard, who is heading to the Vikings, as is former Texan and Gopher linebacker Blake Cashman. They also added former Dolphin Andrew Van Ginkel to help replace some of Hunter's production.

Hunter and departed QB Kirk Cousins were the two biggest names the Vikings had as unrestricted free agents this offseason and both took huge deals elsewhere. Cousins will sign for 4-years and $180 million in Atlanta, with $100 million of that guaranteed.

The Vikings added veteran QB Sam Darnold on Tuesday plus recently cut Packer running back Aaron Jones, both on one-year deals.

The team will likely look to April's NFL Draft to find the QB of the future while they retool the defense this offseason.
