It's now been a month now since 16-year old Jordan "Manny" Collins went missing. Collins was last seen outside his father's apartment in Columbia Heights.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is helping in the search. Vice President John Bischoff says the most important thing they can do right now is continue to distribute Manny's image.

"Someone knows something," says Bischoff. "Someone knows the whereabouts and has a bit, a key piece of information. They may not even realize that it's tied to a missing child case, but when they see his image, they think I know something about that."

Local law enforcement continues to search an Elk River landfill for clues, and investigators are still following up on leads.

Bischoff says despite the fact that it's been a month since he was last seen, nobody is letting up.

"It does change some of the case dynamics as far as, you know, the information being looked at and reviewed with any missing child case," he adds. "And I would assume that's no different here with with Manny's case. However, it doesn't stop the resolve that everyone's putting forth to find Manny."

That includes Manny Collins' mother. It's obviously been an emotional roller coaster for the her.

"I'm all over the place still, to be honest. I'm up, I'm down, I'm overwhelmed, I'm anxious, I'm impatient," explains Ashley Berry.

She also trying to stay hopeful that her son will be found safe.

"I still feel like there's hope," she says. "It's just as the days go, that's what's worrying me more, as the days go by. And that's concerning me a lot."

Berry says the plan was for Manny to finish school while living at his dad's and then move back with her in June.

"I still have Manny's note, the day that he left," she says. "So yeah, that was the plan, he was supposed to come back."

Berry says she's planning her own search, one that community members can join.

"Like I said, the more eyes, the better. If anybody's able or willing, then I would love to have them help," she said.

But for now? She's just hoping someone knows something about her missing boy.

"If anyone knows anything, like I said, if they can call anonymously, they don't even have to say their name," Berry told WCCO's Susie Jones. "If they should know just any little thing that they might not think it's important, it could be important. You guys can keep your eyes open. That would be great."

Anoka County authorities believe that Manny Collins is being held against his will. He originally went missing on May 8.
