Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges announced the arrests of three suspects who allegedly kidnapped a woman earlier this week.
It happened at the Mall of America transit station on Monday, where Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges says the victim was forced into a car, taken away for about two hours, and pistol-whipped by her ex-boyfriend.
Hodges adds that 23-year old Trevon Johnson of Golden Valley is also the main suspect in an attempted murder at the Lake Street Transit Station last month, and is facing several other charges.
Hodges says they were able to arrest him for being a felon in possession of a firearm, just one of several charges he’s now facing.
“Right now, he has all of these charges we have him with. Then he has the [Metro Transit], separate, second-degree attempted murder charges. Then he has a separate drive-by shooting charge. Then he has another case for second-degree riot. Then he has another case for fleeing police on foot.”
Another suspect, 23-year old Antwan Hopson Junior of Golden Valley is also charged in the case. Investigators say he was the driver of the car Johnson allegedly beat the victim in.
Hodges says the suspects have been moved from the Bloomington jail to the Hennepin County Jail pending charges.
