Charges have now been filed against a 32 year Woodbury woman who allegedly assaulted two of her children leaving one of them unconscious in the street.
Sadiyo Mohamed faces attempted murder and assault charges in the incident which took place in the 400 block of Lakeview Alcove around 12:45 yesterday morning.
Police responded after getting reports of the woman chasing her children through the neighborhood, one of them screaming. That 6-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with injuries. The 5-year-old girl found in the street is in critical condition. Police say there was a third child in the home that was unharmed.
In charging documents, Mohamed claims to suffer from mental health issues and has been off her medication for a number of weeks. She says she thought her children were playing tricks on her, and that she could not tell if they were demons.
