Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey announcing via social media that the city's popular "Doors Open Minneapolis" events will be back this year.

City Hall is first on the list, which includes Frey's newly-renovated office in the historic building in downtown Minneapolis.

"We now have the new and renovated mayor's office and check this out, I don't know if you can see up there, but these domes, I think a lot of people didn't even know that they existed because they were just packed under a ton of drywall," Mayor Frey says in a video he posted to social media that you can see below.

The first "Doors Open Minneapolis" at City Hall is May 17 and 18.

Doors Open Minneapolis is your chance to explore the buildings that tell the city’s story. From theaters to business hubs, sacred spaces to private clubs, sports complexes to engineering wonders, historical gems to not-even-open-yet buildings, Doors Open Minneapolis provides a free, behind-the-scenes look at dozens of venues.

Building owners and caretakers will provide unique perspectives that illustrate why these venues, people and businesses, are central to the city.

You can pre-register for tours here and a full list of open properties is available here.
