First Lady Jill Biden made a surprise stop at Loring Park in Minneapolis Saturday at the Twin Cities Pride Festival.

She told the crowd that her husband's administration will continue supporting LG-B-T-Q rights.

“We know that there those who wish to undo progress this community has made," Dr. Biden told the crowd. "Joe stands with you now, and he stands with you forever. Today, we’re here to find the joy.”

Dr. Biden was introduced to the crowd by 5th District congresswoman Ilhan Omar.

The First Lady spoke for several minutes, telling the crowd that their experience has strengthened them for the fight ahead that they won't face alone.

FLOTUS said their experience “strengthened you for the fights ahead.” “You don’t have to finish these battles alone.”

“To laugh with friends, we wish we saw more often to find solace in the arms of people who see us for who we are, to celebrate the beauty and the resiliency of this community," she said. "Today, I'm here on the behalf of Joe and Kamala and Doug to say loud and clear, that you belong, that you are beautiful in that you are loved.”

Many in the crowd shouted "Four More Years" as Dr. Biden left the stage, a reference to the president recently announcing plans to run again.

Dr. Biden also attended a fundraiser for her husband's re-election campaign during her Twin Cities stop yesterday.
