Following the 2020 Election, there was increased focus and scrutiny on how people voted, the safety of both mail-in ballots and in-person voting, electronic counting of ballots and more.

Despite no evidence of widespread voter fraud, many politicians and citizens called for reviews of Election officials and processes. Many, including Minnesota's Secretary of State Steve Simon, were very transparent in how they count votes and supply those results.

WCCO's Political Analyst Blois Olson hosted a roundtable discussion with several Election officials across all aspects of government to talk about their process ahead of the Midterm Elections.

Guests include:

·       Judd Choate, Director of Elections, Colorado Department of State

·        Paul A. Linnell, Deputy Elections Director, Minnesota Secretary of State Office

·        Melanie Hazelip, Campaign Organizer and Democracy Policy Advocate

·        Emily Hunt, Elections Administrator for Ramsey County

·       Blue Earth County Elections Administrator Michael Stalberger

Blois Olson is WCCO's Political Analyst and can be heard weekday mornings at 6:20 a.m. on the Morning News with Vineeta Sawkar as well as on the Sunday Take, 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings on News Talk 830 WCCO. Subscribe to the Morning Take newsletter here.
