Hall of Fame wrestler Hulk Hogan is back!

But not in the ring and he's not telling his "Hulkamaniacs" to take their vitamins anymore. He's now selling his own brand of beer, debuting Tuesday in the Twin Cities. The beer, an American-made light lager, is a 4.2% ABV easy-drinker according to the Hulkster.

Why here in Minnesota? Hogan told Vineeta Sawkar on the WCCO Morning News that he's returning to a place he used to live.

"I just love the Twin Cities," Hogan said. "I was here four years, I love this place. I fell in love with it. I have a lot of friends here still and it's just one of the states along the way that was first to step up and say, 'hey, Hulk, we want your Real American Beer.' So that's why I'm here."

Hulk at one time lived in an apartment near the old Met Center before buying a house in Bloomington more than 40 years ago.

"Behind the Met Center there was an apartment complex called the Versailles Apartments," recalls Hogan. "I started out living there and I bought a house in Bloomington off 494 and France, and I just love the Twin Cities."

Hogan was one of the stars of during the heyday of Verne Gagne's AWA in the early 1980s. He quickly became a fan favorite taking on the villain Nick Bockwinkle and the Heenan Family before Vince McMahon and the WWF (later the WWE) came calling and he became a worldwide star for them.

Another of those early AWA wrestlers is Jesse Ventura, of course. Ventura announced he's selling cannabis edibles in partnership with Retro Bakery, which is based in suburban Minneapolis. They're producing hemp-derived THC edibles under the Jesse Ventura Farms brand.

Hulk Hogan's Real American Beer launched yesterday in Florida where he lives now, and he's appearing at several locations around the Twin Cities on Tuesday. Hulk Hogan turns 71 years old in August.

Real American Beer is will now be available at select Minnesota retailers, bars, and restaurants, including Total Wine And More, CUB Liquor White Bear Lake, Big Discount Liquor and G-Will Liquor. Get some brother!
