The judge involved in the trails for the four officers charged in the death of George Floyd made some key rulings Thursday morning.
The most important of those rulings is that there will be one trial for all four officers.
Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill issued his ruling this morning, granting the state's request.
Defense attorneys wanted each officer to be tried separately in the case, which is scheduled to go to trial on March 8th of next year.
Cahill also ruled that, at least for now, the trial will remain in Hennepin County, but says he will hear that motion at a later date.
In a rare ruling for Hennepin County, the judge has ruled that a audio and video recording will be present in the courtroom for the trial.
Derek Chauvin is charged with second degree murder in the case, while Tou Thao, Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng are charged with aiding and abetting second degree manslaughter.
