Fans of "The Killers" are getting a two-fer in Minneapolis this week.
The alternative rock band is performing at First Avenue Thursday night, before headlining Twin Cities Summer Fest at Target Field Friday night.
Twins spokesman Matt Hodson told Vineeta Sawkar on the WCCO Morning News the roadies have been swarming the place, the stage and field seating are in place, and they're ready to go.
“It’s been really fun, to step back and watch this huge group of people descend upon the ballpark, and turn it into a first-class music venue,” says Hodson.
Hodson explains more about the setup at Target Field.
“We positioned the seats, especially down on the field and where we seat folks in the seating bowl, to really capitalize on getting the best sound they can,” Hodson told WCCO. “Another aspect that will be great for this particular concert, the first time we’ll be able to use it, is our new scoreboard.”
The giant main video board in Target Field stands 57-feet high, stretching 178-feet wide making it the sixth largest videoboard in Major League Baseball. It debuted at the start of the 2023 Twins season.
The Killers show at First Avenue is sold out, but tickets to Twin Cities Summer Fest are still available. Imagine Dragons headlines Saturday night's lineup. Get more information on available seating here.
