The band, which is in the middle of their fall tour, says that the lack of a vaccine or mask mandate is the reason why they have decided to cancel their show.
The Minnesota State fair announced last week that they would not be requiring vaccinations or proof of a negative COVID test to gain admittance to the annual event. Instead, they announced that they would trust fair-goers to be honest and stay home if they felt ill.
Last week, many media outlets including WCCO Radio announced that they would be limiting their participation or not have a presence at the fair at all so that they could keep staff safe. It is also reported that more than 150 vendors will not return for the 2021 version of the great Minnesota get-together.
The fair has not yet announced how they will issue refunds for the canceled Low Cut Connie show.
