A Minneapolis man's been charged following a crash last Friday morning in Arden Hills that killed two people from New Brighton.
The Ramsey County Attorney's Office on Tuesday formally charged Luis Tipantuna Quinchiguano, 31, with four counts of criminal vehicular homicide.
According to charging documents, Quinchiguano was driving erratically on westbound I-694 near Snelling Avenue when he smashed into a vehicle causing it to spin and get hit broadside by an oncoming semi-truck.
Curtis O'Connor, 76, and Karin O’Connor, 74, died at the scene. Investigators say a preliminary breath test showed Quinchiguano's blood-alcohol content was .218. The legal level is 0.08.
Results of a blood sample taken from Quinchiguano at the scene are pending.
