Marshall, Minn., native Trey Lance heard his name called third overall in the 2021 NFL Draft Thursday to the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers traded up to get to No. 3 overall in a crowded quarterback class featuring Lance, who was the quarterback for the North Dakota State University Bison. Lance left the Bison program after one game to focus on training.
