Crews are still on the scene Thursday morning of a massive fire at an old Minneapolis apartment building.
The fire broke out at the Dundry House Apartment building at 19th street and 5th Avenue South just before 11:30 Wednesday night.
Minneapolis fire says the building had been abandoned but several squatters were found inside and ran out of the building during searches. The building has been empty since last June.
Fire crews were eventually evacuated as the fire spread rapidly burning holes through the floors and through roof which collapsed.
Firefighters are expected to be on scene for several more hours Thursday. There's no word on a cause and no injuries have been reported.
The fire has led to the closing of a major onramp from 5th avenue to 35W and I-94.
