The Minnesota Twins playoff picture is slowly becoming clearer.

As of Thursday, the Twins hold a 7.5 game lead in the American League Central and a magic number of nine to clinch the division title.

Fans eager to secure their postseason tickets can do so starting Monday, September 18 at 10 a.m. when postseason ticket strips go on sale.

"This is the only way to secure a ticket to every Twins home game at Target Field throughout the playoffs," said Matt Hodson, the Twins Director of Business Communications. "We're in this position to be even talking about it, a big part of the reason why is because of our fans. We want them out there with us at Target Field."

There are 14 possible Twins home dates throughout the 2023 Postseason (3 American League Wild Card games, 3 American League Division Series games, 4 American League Championship Series games and 4 World Series games).

"One of the perks of being a Twins season ticket holder is you are given pre access to postseason tickets," Hodson told WCCO Radio's Vineeta Sawkar on the Morning News. "You can still secure your playoff priority if you want to get a postseason push plan or secure your commitment to 2024."

If the Twins remain as the third seed in the American League they would start the 2023 postseason by hosting a best of three Wild Card Series at Target Field from October 3-5.

A win there sends the Twins to the ALDS where they would play up to two home games. If the Twins were to secure the American League’s second seed, the club would advance directly to the ALDS and host up to three games.

And for the interest of daydreaming, home field advantage for the ALCS and World Series is awarded to the remaining team with the best regular season record.

"You're looking at a couple hundred bucks because you're securing throughout up to 14 potential home dates and that'd be in our upper levels. There's a price point for everybody. If you want to watch Twins postseason baseball, there's a way to do it."
