One is dead and another wounded in a Saturday afternoon shooting in Minneapolis.
The confrontation happened on the 300 block of Sixth Street North around 5:20 p.m.
Police say a man in his 40's died of gunshot wounds while a woman who was shot remains hospitalized in critical condition.
"We do believe that there was some sort of familiarity between the victim and the suspect or suspects," said Minneapolis city spokesman John Elder.
According to police the woman is in her 20's.
"Officers spoke with people who were out in the area who may have heard or seen something," Elder said. "We were notified several hours later from the medical examiner that the adult male did, in fact, die."
There are no arrests.
